Environmental Policy


The Conde Group is committed to the adoption of environmentally responsible policies and practices throughout its operation. The company has identified that its business does not produce emissions covered by environmental protection legislation. However, in line with the continuous improvement programme the company focuses on the following:

· Identifying potential environmental opportunities and considering their appropriateness for adoption.

· Waste reduction and responsible destruction practices.

· Re-cycling of materials.

· Minimising consumption of energy and other natural resources.

· The continuing adoption to the practice of the purchase of products which have least impact on the environment.

· Continually creating partnerships with similar minded suppliers.

· Improving the working environment and complying with UK and EU legislations where aplicable

· Maximise the use of technology based systems to reduce paper usage throughout our operations worldwide.

 

Health and Satety Policy


It is the policy of the Conde Group Ltd to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of our employees whilst they are at work, and also the health and safety of our temporary workers, plus any others who may be affected by our undertakings.

It is the Company’s intention to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and to provide a safety conscious temporary employee to customers in order to achieve an accident-free workplace.

Conde will endeavor to:
· Provide and maintain safe working environments without risk to health and safety.

· Set standards that comply with all relevant statutory requirements relating to health, safety and the environment with regard to their effect on employees, customers, contractors and the public.

· Safeguard employees and others from foreseeable hazards with regard to health, safety or the environment in existing processes and working systems.

· Ensure that when new substances, plant, machinery, equipment, processes or premises are introduced, adequate guidance, instruction and supervision will be provided for safe methods of work to be developed.

· Ensure all employees are aware of their own responsibilities in respect of relevant health, safety and environmental matters.

· Aim to achieve the commitment and active involvement of all staff, in order that safety awareness and positive attitudes are fostered and continuous efforts made to improve safety performance.

· Ensure that contractors carrying out work are informed of relevant standards; are trained in procedures as necessary; and that systems are established for monitoring compliance, without detracting from the contractors legal responsibilities, to ensure that requirements are met.

· Promote good health and be concerned with the prevention of occupational and non-occupational disorders and diseases using health counseling and health education.

· Co-operate with appropriate authorities and technical organisations, both to ensure that policies are updated and to contribute to the formulation of standards and means of compliance.

· Retain, and review as necessary, existing arrangements for safety committees to maintain effective consideration of health and safety measures.

· Ensure that these objectives are being fulfilled through auditing activities, both internally through competent assessors and also by external consultants.

We will achieve the above objectives by educating workers in, but not limited to, the following safety policies:

· Business Continuity

· Corporate and Social Responsibility

Managing Diversity Policy


Purpose of Policy


In order to promote an environment within which the Company can call upon the widest range of knowledge, skills and experience, as well as ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation and codes of practice, we are committed to treating all applicants and employees in the same way regardless of race or colour, nationality or national or ethnic origin, religion or religious belief, sex or marital status, sexual orientation, disability or age.

Company Policy


This policy applies to the advertisement of jobs, recruitment and appointment to them, training, conditions of work, pay and to every other aspect of employment. The policy also applies to the treatment of our customers.

The Conde Group has an open recruitment policy and uses a wide spectrum of different attraction methods e.g. press advertising campaigns, Internet and local bespoke campaigns.  The Conde Group will fully utilise Jobcentre Plus and, wherever possible, recruit from the local community.

We shall regularly review the operation of our recruitment, promotion, training and development policies to ensure that no applicant or employee is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable.

Monitoring


All employees and job applicants will be asked to complete a form denoting their sex, race, ethnic origin and any disabilities. The company guarantees that this form will only be used for the purpose of monitoring the effectiveness of its equal opportunities policy. The Conde Group monitors employees by grade and section (business unit) and this information will be used only for statistical purposes.

The Conde Group is committed to being an equal opportunities employer. Grievances


If at any time, employees feel they have been treated less favorably than others in relation to equal opportunities, they may use the Harassment procedure for presenting a complaint about the discriminatory conduct.

Reasonable Adjustments


Employees who are disabled, or become disabled in the course of their employment, should inform and may also wish to advise the company, of any “reasonable adjustments” to their employment or working conditions which they consider would assist them in the performance of their duties. Careful consideration will be given to any proposals of this nature and where reasonable, or reasonably practicable, such adjustments will be made. There may however be circumstances where it will not be reasonable, or reasonably practicable, for the company to accommodate those proposals and where less favorable treatment may be justified in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Responsibilities


The Senior Marketing Manager and Managing Director for Conde Group Ltd (UK) are responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to Managing Diversity across the business. All recruitment, promotion, disciplinary and dismissal matters are channeled through the Senior Marketing Manager. This ensures parity and consistency in dealing with individuals and that as an organisation we adhere to effective equal opportunities practices.

Business Centre Responsibility


Conde Group will educate all managers via trainer input, group and individual exercises. The managers are responsible for training members of the team. A record of all training completed is held on the employee's training record card.
